The Chinese Presidency Held Dialogue with African Countries on the G20 Hangzhou Summit

On April 19, 2016, Ambassador Zhang Jun, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China held a dialogue on the G20 Hangzhou Summit with representatives of African countries at the African Union (AU) Convention Center, and met with Dr. Nokosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Chairperson of the AU Commission, and Egyptian and South African Ambassadors to AU.
Amb. Zhang introduced the theme, agenda items, designed deliverables and preparatory progress of the G20 Hangzhou Summit during the dialogue and meetings. He pointed out that the world economy is facing various difficulties and challenges, and the international community has high expectations on the Hangzhou Summit. The Chinese presidency attaches great importance to the preparatory work of the Summit, and is working together with all members to enhance macro-economic policy coordination, promote innovation and structural reform, and take meaningful measures in fields like trade, investment, finance and energy, at the aim of improving global economic governance and revitalizing the world economy.
